I’ve always been really keen on shoes. What I like even more is purchasing them way under my budget. I have sandals, but obviously I “need” more. Sadly right now I can’t afford a new pair so I had to be creative and DIY again.
I bought this black pair of sandals several years ago. There were small, black flowers on their tops, but not for long 🙂 I fancy them because they are made of leather moreover they are pretty comfy nevertheless I had a problem with them. One side of the left foot sandal was always hurting my toe, leaving wounds on it.
As I couldn’t accept it and the fact that I don’t own at least 3 more pairs, plus due to my ability of not giving up anything easily I’ve come to the conclusion that “removable, changeable straps” is the solution!
What you’ll need:
– stripes (straps) from almost any material (leather, cotton etc. – I used 2,5 cm wide and about 9 cm long leather material)
– velcro (stick-on type)
– scissors, a pen, a ruler
I’ve chosen these colours and measures, which seems to be working on these sandals, but other pairs might require different calculations, colours. Cut small pieces from the velcro, find the place on the strap where it well fits (sits 🙂 ) on the sandals’ top, stick there the velcro pieces and your new sandals are considered finished 🙂
